The University of Ioannina and the Association of European Journalists are pleased to announce the organization of a Summer University project, titled "Greece today: Language, Culture and Media". The academic action will take place in the summer of 2015 on the island of Andros and, specifically, from July 5th to July 12th, and July 12th to July 19th. The project falls under the aegis of the Research Committee of the University of Ioannina.
The aforementioned program is available to undergraduate students, as well as graduates, post-graduate students, PhD holders, researchers, educators and professionals. It includes an English-speaking and a Greek-speaking class. The attendees of the Summer University will be taught by distinguished University Professors from Greece and other countries, as well as journalists/academics from all over Europe. Daily four-hour lectures and workshops are also provided. Moreover, the program includes participation in excursions and visits to cultural sites. It is worth mentioning that at the level of guest lectures of the program, the Center for Hellenic Studies of Harvard University in Greece kindly participates, with Professor Charles Stocking from Western University of Ontario, Research Fellow of the Center for Hellenic Studies at Harvard University in Washington.
