On behalf of the Laboratory of New Technologies in Communication, Education and the Mass Media of the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies of the University of Athens we would like to inform you that, with support by the University Research Institute of Applied Communication (URIAC), we are glad to bring in Athens on October 20-21, 2011 this year's 5th European Conference on Games-Based Learning (ECGBL 2011).
In the context of this conference, the most important in Europe and one of the major scientific events on games-based learning worldwide, participants will have the opportunity to share research results and discuss issues at the forefront of current developments for digital games and learning.

Accepted papers are published in hard-copy and electronic proceedings, whereas further publication opportunities are provided for selected papers in special issues of journals.
